External Speaker: Claire Hart on "How to Include Neurodiverse Learners"

The EULETA External Speaker Training Series features speakers who are experts in their fields and external to EULETA. The talks are on topics which are connected to our work as legal English teachers and which help our continued professional development. 

Our next external speaker training event will be on Tuesday 13th May 2025 from 6 pm to 7.30 pm CEST.

Claire Hart will be speaking about How to Include Neurodiverse Learners.

About Claire Hart's talk:

We're now aware that around one in five members of the population are neurodiverse, meaning that their brains receive input and produce some outputs in a different way to everyone else. Despite the number of neurodiverse students that every teacher or trainer will encounter, there is currently little in the way of training to help them work with neurodiverse learners effectively. In this session, we will bridge this gap by looking at what it really means and how it really feels to be neurodiverse, and look at some easy-to-implement strategies you can use in your courses tomorrow which will help your neurodiverse learners to succeed. The motto of this talk is: "When everyone is included, everyone wins."

About Claire Hart:

Claire Hart has worked in the world of Business English and English for Specific Purposes for almost 20 years in the UK, France and Germany. She's delivered language and communication skills training for many international companies and in language schools. Over the last ten years, she's also worked in educational materials publishing with a focus on resources for vocational English. As an autistic ADHDer herself, Claire is also active in advocating for neurodiverse people and educating teachers and trainers about how to help neurodiverse learners to thrive.
